For Those Who Love Natural Remedies, Skin Care Is Exactly The Same.

By Peter Albertonach

Gradually there is a world wide movement towards natural remedies. Skin care included. People are starting to realize that natural products and natural remedies can work, and work well, and be safer.

50 or so years ago everyone went to the doctor because that was all there was, but now there is such a strong movement towards more natural remedies and products that many natural therapists are booked out.

That doesn't mean, however, that all these natural remedies work well, or at all. There are many examples of charlatans pimping so called natural cures for all sorts of things that turn out often not to be a cure at all, and sometimes not even quite so natural.

It's the same with skin care. You can find many brands of natural skin care products but you'll also find if you do some digging that some aren't quite as "natural" as you might expect, and some don't work as well as you would like.

However this said, there are good reasons why people look for natural solutions to good skin care. The reasons are simple. Many big name skin care products contain chemical ingredients that are less than healthy for us, and in some cases are actually bad for our skin.

So here's an example. Many mainstream skin care products contain petrochemical ingredients. Mineral oil is an example, and if used in skin care products can be bad for your skin, clogging pores and leading to acne for some.

And some ingredients in many skincare products are even known to cause cancer.

So there's good reasons to look for natural remedies for skin care. Products that contain naturally occurring ingredients that are known to be safe to use.

So whilst there are many skin care product labeled natural there are also some that aren't quite so natural. The FDA isn't required to test any skin care products, either to see if the ingredients are natural, or safe. So there are natural skin care products around that use potentially harmful ingredients.

An example is tests done recently on products labeled "organic" that had 1,4 Dioxane in them.

So you have to be careful, not all skin care products labeled as natural are quite as natural or as safe as you would like.

Just last week I wrote an article on my site about the process to go through finding good natural skin care products, and how to find out how safe they are.

So if you're interested in natural remedies, and that leads you to buying natural skin care products, we suggest that the first thing you do is to read that article that we wrote for people like you.

And as well as telling you the process to go through investigating natural skin care products I also tell you who makes the best ones, in my view, and why.
