Leaky Gut Syndrome

By Carlene Graybeal

Leaky Gut Syndrome is prevalent in the majority of adult Americans today. This is a damaging consequence of eating processed foods for a number of years. In the United States, a fast-paced lifestyle requires foods that provide convenience. Yet, convenience does not always translate to wellness. Leaky Gut is caused by a buildup of unbroken down processed food that stays in the digestive tract. Processed foods, common in a typical American diet, do not contain the enzymes that aid digestion and metabolism. The sludge accumulates in the alimentary canal.

Leaky Gut Syndrome is referring especially to the final part of the digestive tract: the colon. We remember that the primary jobs of the colon are:

- to store wastes prior to elimination

- water resorption to avoid dehydration

- to reabsorb electrolytes as well so the body isn't constantly eliminating nutrient minerals

These functions are achieved through minuscule perforations that are numerous on a healthy colon wall. These tiny holes permit water and valuable mineral into the bloodstream. This guarantees the body against dehydration and electrolyte loss.

On the other hand, a colon wall with layers of sludge hinders the tiny holes from doing its job. A majority of adult Americans is suffering from this. Some of the openings are stuck open, and some stay closed. Openings that are wide open permit the unprocessed discharge of foods, which were not broken down and metabolized, into the bloodstream. Once in the blood, at no time can these be digested. It permanently habitates in just about any organ or tissue inside the body, which begins to invade the tissue resulting to inflammation. This will at some point impair the organ or tissue to function properly. The colon or gut is often refered to be Leaky - hence, Leaky Gut Syndrome. The medical term for the condition is called hyperpermeability syndrome. This describes how the collon wall gives the green light to allow unfiltered seepage of gut elements into the blood. Normal peristalsis should have removed this waste and stopped from getting into the bloodstream. The gaping holes allowed potential waste to re-enter together with water and electrolytes. Hence, the gut is leaky or too porous.

The solution: clear the colon of the sludge layers of undigested foods. The most practical way is accomplish this is through safe holistic herbal blends which contain no corrosives and no laxatives. Once the layers of undigested debris are eliminated form the colon, the pores become freed up and can heal. Then they will unlock and be able to open when they should open and close when they should close. The colon eliminates what it should and keeps what it should. No more leaky gut, no more bringing allergenic debris into the general blood circulation. - 14130
