The Symptoms Of Panic And Anxiety Attacks

By Anne Thibault

The first sign of a panic attack is the complete sensation of being totally overwhelmed. This feeling will become more and more intense over the next few minutes, but will hopefully subside within 30 minutes or so. Sometimes it goes completely away, other times it will come back at you in wave after wave. If you are experiencing these feelings, you are having symptoms of a panic attack.

If you know the symptoms you can do something about it, if you don't then you are in trouble. Alone, panic attacks won't send you to an early grave, but combined with several other problems such as stress and depression, it is not uncommon. This is the exact reason why ignoring panic attacks is highly dangerous. They will get worse and through getting worse they will make your life awful. As soon as you seek help you are on your way to a better life.

This wouldn't be much of a 'symptoms of panic attacks' article without me telling you a few of the main ones would it? If you have a racing heart suddenly and get hot flushes or chills these are well known symptoms of a panic attack. You may get a whole mixture of symptoms or you may only get one. Numbness of limbs is another symptom and pins and needles. It doesn't matter where you are, the symptoms and attacks will happen and you need to do something about it.

A few other symptoms include dizziness, claustrophobia and nausea. Again, you may not get any of these but being aware of them can save yourself or someone else a lifetime of trouble.

Any similar troubles, even if they are not listed, should be taken note of and explained to a professional. Using the internet is vital, I cannot list all the possible symptoms but the internet can. Do your research and find out what other people suggest and recommend you do. Learn from other peoples mistakes and don't detect anxiety attacks too late. Read more and be safe.

If you already have had a panic attack then you should be in touch with a doctor already. They can't heal themselves unfortunately, and they only get worse without treatment. Discuss it with your doctor but also look on the web at the hundreds of help websites and the many helpful people waiting to talk to you. The amount of people in your situation might surprise you, I'm sure it will definitely help you. As with all sites, check the reputation and if in doubt get a second opinion on what you are being told. - 14130
