By Aidan Ashcroft

A lot of time, people with the condition of tinnitus will have a constant ringing in their ears that can be exceptionally unbearable, especially if they feel they have no alternative as to the cure for tinnitus. In many cases, this condition is not easy to diagnose for medical professionals. Because of this most people must look for a cure for tinnitus that relieves the problem enough so that they can tolerate the condition. Luckily there are a few fairly easy techniques that have been reported to work for most people and provide an efficient cure for tinnitus.

Most people who have tinnitus, may also experience some hearing losses, therefore they are fitted with a hearing aid which also works well in helping a person reduce the sounds and provides them with an easy cure for tinnitus.

By playing background music you are able to drown out the symptoms of tinnitus. Other sounds are also beneficial such as running water, FM radio static and a number of other comforting sounds.

A tool that is another great cure for tinnitus is the "tinnitus masker"; this small hearing aid like item also drowns out the offensive noise on a constant basis and can be used for long periods of time.

In some cases, a person who has extreme hearing conditions may experience a worse case of tinnitus; therefore their doctor may use a cochlear implant in order to rid them of tinnitus symptoms.

The most common of the cures for tinnitus is masking, this technique drowns out those sounds of ringing that annoy you with sounds that drive you crazy. With masking you can use any number of methods such as running FM radio static, which will help mask the ringing sound that has been known to be a great cure for tinnitus.

Another cure for tinnitus includes the use of intravenous lidocain which is a cure that the problem away totally for about 30 minutes or so. This is known to work extremely well for more than 85% of the people who suffer from tinnitus.

Other sufferers of tinnitus have found that another drug called alprazolam or xanax is great at reducing the loudness of the problem up to 40% allowing a person to feel better. With the addition of further studies, scientists are looking for more medications to completely provide a cure for tinnitus.

The last and least popular cure for tinnitus involves having surgery to cure the condition. Some people find that this is sometimes needed in order to allow them to live normal lives; however some people will experience some side effects which may extend to total deafness. It is very important that you only choose this option if it is your only alternative. - 14130
