How Helpful is Green Tea

By Chalo Balauri

Over the last years, we in the Western world have rediscovered a lot of "lost knowledge", from other parts of the World. There are many plants and herbs that aid us in different areas of our health and one of them is green tea, known in China for thousands of years.

You can easily add green tea into your life. It is classically taken as a warm drink during cool days, but you can also taste its delicious flavor in summer as an iced tea. If you don't like the taste for any reason, you can also find it in the form of pills.

Green tea has been strongly promoted to help losing weight. According to some studies, it was discovered that men and women who took green tea on their diets burnt more fat than people with no green tea or a placebo. It helps in using fat to produce energy.

There is a benefit that is even more important than losing weight: green tea is good to prevent cancer. This type of tea contains a powerful antioxidant. These anti-oxidants are called catechins and they help eliminating cancer cells without making damage to healthy tissue.

Green tea has also been used in the formulation of different natural skin care products. Green tea is helpful to improve the complexion of the skin and stop the damages made by the sun exposure and aging. It also helps prevent skin cancer and free radicals.

Why is green tea used only by a group of people? Those of us who have witnessed the benefits of this herb cannot understand it. But maybe it has to do with how modern medicine looks down to inexpensive natural treatments in favor of pharmaceuticals and chemical based products.

You can get green tea both online and offline, whenever I can't find it on my local grocery store, I go online and have it shipped directly to my house. What a convenient World we live in! - 14130
