Reduce Wrinkles with Anti Wrinkle Cream

By Julie Samtsonn

Anti wrinkle creams will not unleash the fountain of youth but can hide the signs of old age. There are many people trying to hide their age and look more youthful. This is the reason that there are new products being introduced everyday. Most of them have essential ingredients that works very well to hide those tell tale signs of aging.

Whether or not you're a fan of plastic surgery, you can look and feel fresher and more youthful with the simple application of a good antiwrinkle cream. The newest antiwrinkle creams have a few basic ingredients in them to help your skin look fresh and young. Let's take a look at them.

Exfoliants:

The best anti wrinkle creams increase new skin regeneration, this process slows down as we age. When you are 20 your skin will manage to regenerate in about 28 days, but this process will take at least 40 days by the time you are 40.

New skin emerges when the old top layer is exfoliated. This stimulates your skin to make new skin cells. Topical scrubs can be harmful to your skin, but anti wrinkle creams are gentle. These creams just slough away the top layer of your skin, but scrubs will literally scratch it off. This can result in skin irritation.

Hydroxy acids are common ingredients in anti wrinkle creams. Retinol, a derivative of vitamin A is also used. These substances stimulate new skin cells.

When new skin growth is stimulated collagen is increased. This will help your skin look more youthful.

Effective sunscreen:

A good sunscreen is an important ingredient for many anti wrinkle creams. Alternatively you can put on separate sunscreen but it is more convenient to have it as part of your anti wrinkle cream. Because new skin is more sensitive to the sun you will need some extra protection in the shape of sunscreen.

Anti toxins:

Good antiwrinkle creams also contain antioxidants that topically help destroy free radicals within skin layers. Free radicals encourage skin damage, wrinkling, age spots, and other unwanted signs of aging. By neutralizing these free radicals, antioxidants such as vitamins C and E or coenzyme Q 10 help protect your skin from damage deep within its layers.

Another point is that you should make sure that you do some research online to find out what others say about a particular antiwrinkle cream. You should be able to get some good reviews from unbiased customers so that you get the best value for your money. A note about price is that you should NOT have to spend a lot to get a good antiwrinkle cream. In fact, some of the more moderately priced "department store" brands do a better job staving off wrinkles than pricier brands do.

Finally, even a very good antiwrinkle cream may not be the one for you if you get it and you find out that you are allergic to a certain ingredient or that it's otherwise irritating. Therefore, make sure that the product you buy has a money back guarantee. This way, you can be sure that the money you spend will be spent on a product you can actually use.
