Making a Choice of Wrinkle Cream

By Julie Samtsonn

So what choices do you have when it comes to a wrinkle cream that will be effective against those fine lines of old age? It is important to know that not every wrinkle cream is the same and not to be confused by all the different recommendations you will encounter. Ingredients vary with each type of cream. The main ingredients are Aloe Vera, collagen and elastin, and anti toxins.

You will find that the best wrinkle creams will contain substances that will lessen wrinkles but be aware that they will work differently for various skin types. For instance you will see that different types of skin will be less susceptible to wrinkles than others. This can be due to genetics. Have you noticed your parents? One of them may look younger than their age. You can always hope that you will inherit these genes.

The initial wrinkles pose the greatest problems. These are the beginning small signs of old age. Of course people try to ignore them as nobody wants to look old. Then they start to experience panic and rush to find the best wrinkle cream.

One way to find out a wrinkle cream that is effective is to listen to what actual users have to say about it. Customer recommendations are the best promotions for a product. Another good method of finding out if a product is as good as it claims is to read reviews. These are written by actual customers and will let you know if a product does not live up to its claims.

Once you have learnt from the reviews you no longer have to be dependent on whatever the company is claiming. After all you are the one that has to look at yourself in the mirror each day, so you want a wrinkle cream that works. With the right choice of an anti wrinkle cream you will see a reduction in those tell tale lines and wrinkles.

However do not expect instant results. Even the most effective anti wrinkle cream will take at least 2 weeks. In fact some can take as long as 6 weeks to take effect. So do not abandon a cream because you are not seeing speedy results. Give it time to work and do not lose hope.

A common fallacy is that the more you pay the better the anti wrinkle cream will be. This is a myth. There is no evidence that you need to pay a large amount to get a reliable product. Using the product is the only way to really know whether it will work well for you.

One of the best ways to cut through the confusion is to take your dermatologist's advice. He will be able to advise you as to which product matches your skin type.
