Hemorrhoids... Find Lasting Relief Starting Today

You may have the condition known as hemorrhoids but don't be overly concerned as it is a common condition and help is available. Millions of people are affected with hemorrhoids. Studies have shown that as many as half of all adults have had hemorrhoids one time or more in their lives. Many over the counter remedies are recommended, yet most of these don't actually solve the problem. Research has definitively shown that it's much more effective to cure the problem using natural means that treat the cause and prevent the problem from returning.

Two types of hemorrhoids are possible, internal and external. Most people have the internal type and don't even know. Internal type hemorrhoids cause painless bleeding which is often evident after a bowel movement. The external type is the most bothersome and are associated with pain and. Symptoms of hemorrhoids include irritation around the anus and acute pain in and around the rectum.

Straining during bowel movements and constipation.

Taking a Sitz bath 2 or 3 times per day for 15 minutes or so will reduce swelling and give relief. Be very careful when drying the affected area so you don't aggravate the situation and make matters worse. Ice cubes wrapped in a soft cloth and applied to the area is also beneficial. Apply hemorrhoid cream as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist.

It is important to take action in preventing hemorrhoids. The biggest cause of hemorrhoids is straining when going to the toilet most often from being constipated. Introduce more fibre in your diet; alcohol coffee and tea should be avoided, as they may cause dehydration. Try to drink 8 glasses of water a day. In combination with the added fibre in your diet will make your stool soft and easy to pass.

In order to successfully treat hemorrhoids address the symptoms and get some relief and then making some life style changes to prevent re-occurrence. If this is your first bout of the condition then you need to take notice. This is your opportunity to be proactive. Take action to prevent this condition from being a real problem. If you don't treat it properly it is likely to get far worse. You don't want this problem to get to the point where you will require surgery.
