Why Become Clairvoyant

By Adrian Cooper

Essentially, a person who has the ability to demonstrate clairvoyance powers is deemed to be a clairvoyant. In some cases people will refer to these powers as being extrasensory perception or sixth sense. Interestingly enough, clairvoyance can be traced back as far as the eighteenth century, and as you may well already know, historical literature for is full of stories concerning profits and seers. In fact, these people were held in high regard by society who at that time believed immensely in prophecies. Even powerful world leaders regularly sought advice from a clairvoyant before taking specific action in many circumstances.

Derived from the French language, clairvoyant literally means to have a clear vision. Even so, clairvoyance can have several meanings as such, considering that while some clairvoyants may have a vision, others may hear messages, interpret signs, or listen to an inner voice.

Of course, as is to be expected, no two clairvoyants are the same, in that as individuals, they all have different levels of skill. However, the majority of them have adequate power to be able to have a glimpse into the future and this is why they can make their services available to others. In fact, those which have exceptional skills have demonstrated that they can even view things which have taken place in the past, or move beyond the living in order to communicate to with those which have past away.

It is believed that everyone is born clairvoyant. However, due to the tendency of society to stifle anything that doesn't fit within the norm, few people actually get the opportunity to develop their ability. The ones that do are often children of clairvoyant parents or adults who have taken the time to train their clairvoyance skills, whether through self-study or tutelage from an accomplished clairvoyant.

Study generally begins with meditation. With meditation, users can release the stress and negativity from their mind, leaving them open to the signals or messages being sent to the by the Universe. Clairvoyants should set aside at least thirty minutes a day in a safe, calm atmosphere to practice meditation. Many clairvoyants enjoy meditating outdoors in order to better commune with the Universe.

Furthermore, those who are undergoing training will always be encouraged to clear their mind rather than try to force the issue of clairvoyance. A clairvoyant can often be compared to a person who has misplaced their keys, in that once they have cleared their mind, they become more relaxed and that's when the keys are usually found.

As your clairvoyant power grows, you may wish to include other methods of clairvoyance. These include dream interpretation or the reading of palms, tea leaves or tarot cards. These methods will aid you in understanding the messages you receive.

Your instincts will become an integral part of your power. Sometimes referred to as the inner eye or intuition, instincts are a powerful tool for clairvoyants. Have you ever had a bad feeling about someone or instinctively knew that something bad was going to happen? Most of us have at one point or another in our lives. However, most of us ignore what we're being told by the Universe until our instincts prove to be true. Learn to embrace your instincts, no matter how far-fetched they might seem.

Furthermore, your mental attitude plays a significant role in terms of whether or not you have the ability to receive messages. The same applies, with regards to your immediate environment, in that if you live in chaos and your life is full of negativity, it will be impossible for you to clear your mind enough so that messages can be received. For this reason, clairvoyants often practice Feng shui, even if their lives are calm and positive.

Aromatherapy and the use of crystals are also known to be able to help cleanse away negative energy. Furthermore, yoga is also often practiced, as is medication, in order to rid the mind and body of negativity.

Interestingly enough, clairvoyants are not mystical people who hide away from society, but instead, they can follow several paths with regards to their line of work. In fact, clairvoyants are often called upon by law enforcement agencies in order to provide assistance in solving crimes and to help find missing people. Likewise, many have used their skills and powers in order to establish a career, such as by writing books, appearing in television documentaries, and making predictions in magazine columns. Alternatively, some clairvoyants earn their living by offering readings, either in person, over the phone, or via the Internet. - 14130
