Help for Hair Loss

By Dave Thomas

Becoming bald and losing your hair can be fairly distressing, as you may think that you look older than you feel and that can cause unhappiness.

Many men find baldness to be a dilemma and may start to feel unhappy about the way they look. To try and cover up hair loss many men will comb their hair over the area where it is receding or others will shave their whole head.

Recently it has become popular for men to use treatments to stop their head from becoming bald and to encourage hair growth. However these remedies are rarely successful as they do not treat the root cause of hair loss.

Prior to trying a therapy it is crucial to know what is causing your hair to fall out, and how can it be stopped.

Baldness is caused through a number of things. It can be linked to stress, scalp disease, or if you are not getting proper nutrition. The most prominent cause of hair loss is a hereditary condition that produces too much of a by product of testosterone called Dihydrotestostrone (DHT). This weakens the root of the hair as it joins to the hair follicle and eventually your hair becomes thinner and weaker.

Although you may have been told that there is nothing you can do to stop baldness, there is help out there and methods you can use that are natural and will help to prevent hair loss and help your hair to become strong and healthy by slowing down the production of DHT. One important aspect to consider is your diet as many people's diet consists of highly processed foods with little nutritional value. Therefore they are not even promoting healthy hair, so in order to do this the essential vitamins and minerals needed are, zinc, iron, vitamin B-12, B1 and vitamin C, also lysine a basic amino acid found in proteins. If it is too difficult to get all these through the foods you eat, you may want to take a supplement to ensure you get your recommended daily intake.

Another option to taking supplements or a treatment you can use at the same time is a herb called Saw Palmetto which helps to lessen the formation of DHT and boost men's health especially for their prostate glands. Another natural remedy often used alongside Saw Palmetto is, Nettle which is traditionally used in hair loss treatment.

It may be a little daunting, to know how to incorporate these herbs and nutrients into your diet, but the good news is, is that there is a product that contains all of the essential ingredients to fight against baldness. - 14130
