Yoga Practices Is Not About Wearing Cute Yoga Clothes

By Jimi Lanronle

Cute yoga clothes? Do trendy clothes contradict the yoga principles? The truth is that yoga is on the forefront of practices meant to awaken mankind to a new age of spirituality, but in the western mind the body and soul have been seen as separate for such a long time that the way back a different perspective is pretty sinuous.

Generally speaking it doesn't really matter what you wear for a yoga class, the clothes in themselves should mean nothing, but some trainees are not ready to make their spiritual revolution at the expense of good looks. And this explains the preference for special yoga clothes.

For some people, spirituality and fashion trends do not exclude each other, there is no contradiction apparently. Well, if we looked deeper into the matter we'd surely identify one. Is one distracted by the fashion aspect of the yoga clothes while performing the asanas? This could very well happen if you are too keen on good looks and dislike even the sweat ruining them. Here are a few tips to identify the quality yoga clothes with the mention that the fashion issue stays in the realm of individual choices and the selection criteria are purely personal.

Softness and quality of fabric are the first two elements to make a difference in the yoga clothes choice. The body postures can be extremely soliciting and the clothes require the possibility to make ample movements while also eliminating the discomfort of perspiration. This is why cotton is preferred instead of any other material for yoga clothes since it helps you remain drier and more comfortable for the entire period of the session even if the top is dripping wet at the end. Synthetic fabrics make another possible choice, they are usually lighter, not to mention that the drying rate could be better than for cotton.

Some yoga clothes brands are manufactured from a combination of natural and synthetic fibers, but this is not the only formula available. The truth is that you can bring your individual yoga clothes purchased from casual wear stores; as long as you feel comfortable and the yoga practice is successful, then it is unimportant whether you wear a brand name or not. Most of the times wearing yoga clothes remains one other way to stay fashionable while preserving a certain self-image. It's entirely up to you! - 14130
