By D. Lesky

Are you aware that you can use regular yogurt for yeast infections? Yogurt is one of the most simple yet potent home remedies that you can try.

If you want to make this work for you there are a few ways of going about it. Do make sure though that you do this properly as failing to do so can mean a worsening of the situation. Have a look at the following tips:

1. Try Eating Yogurt

If you want to use yogurt for yeast infections, do keep in mind that the yogurt must not have any sugar added to it, read the label before you pick some up.

The reason for this is yeast feed off of sugar, the more sugar you have in your system, the worse the yeast infection will get. So when you pick up some yogurt to eat, make sure its sugar free and eat a good portion of it at least once a day.

2. Yogurt + Tampon

If you want to use the yogurt genitally, you can do so via a tampon. Just make sure if you go this route the yogurt is sugar free.

Once you've got this, what you need to do is dip the tampon into the yogurt and insert that right after. Leave it in for 45 minutes and repeat this for 1-2 weeks and you should see results.

3. Ice Cubes Made Of Yogurt

If you try this, you will be able to get some cooling relief. All you have to do is pour yogurt into an ice cube tray and leave that in the freezer overnight.

When the yogurt is completely frozen, remove the cubes from the tray and use them to help alleviate any swelling or itchiness you may feel. The ice cubes will not only do this but they will also help kill any yeast that's growing in the area.

Now as far as using yogurt for yeast infections, you're going to want to try out the above remedies. Keep in mind though that they will not get to the root of the problem which is the yeast spores. It's only by killing these that you can truly cure a yeast infection. - 14130
