Can Men Contract Yeast Infections

By Michael Starof

With all the attention of yeast infections being centered on the females, one can be mistaken to believe that yeast contagion is a girls contamination. It is correct women are more disposed to yeast contagion, mainly since Candida Albicans, the mole that produces yeast contamination, rests in the female sexual organs. But this is not to say that men are exempt from getting the infection. Androgenous yeast infection is the most misunderstood and overlooked problem at the present.

Usually, Fungus Candida Albicans is believed to thrive well in a humid and moderately hot environment in the body, therefore, men too can get yeast infections. Men are mainly infected by yeast by way of intercourse with a yeast infected mate. Unprotected intercourse will mean that yeast from a contaminated female will be transmitted through the urethra to settle at the prostrate gland.

More often than not, male yeast contagion is readily identified as a simple penile contamination with dry, painful, cracked skin, especially when the man gets an erection.

The origins of male yeast infection, which touches both the young and the elderly, are just like those of other fungus infections, including intercourse, but to the sexually active age category. This is because of a lack of balance of the yeast and bacteria correlation in the digestive system, which develops a favorable environment for the yeast fungi to flourish and spread to several other 'accommodating' segments of the body.

A depleted immune system, sex, wheat and corn goods, barley, peanuts and alcoholic refreshments are part of the the known sources of male yeast infections. As an aftermath of a male yeast infection in the system, men and boys would develop a longing for such victuals as pastas, sweets, chips, that will aid sustain the fungus, as it generally claims to be nourished. And till the time when men will become aware they have this infrequent, unexpected contamination, they will continue multiplying the parasite by continuously nourishig it. - 14130
