The Truth Behind Bleeding Hemorrhoids

By Joel Maxford

When you have bleeding hemorrhoids, one of the first signs you are going to notice will be blood on the toilet paper whenever you wipe the area. When you have bleeding hemorrhoids, this means you have probably strained too hard as you were on the toilet, or one of your previous hemorrhoids has broke. When you notice you have this problem, your first mind is going to be to go find some treatment. There are many treatments available on the market, but you should first make sure you have bleeding hemorrhoids and not some other health problem.

Apart from having bleeding hemorrhoids in a case of internal hemorrhoids, there are some individuals that can find blood when they have external hemorrhoids. Either way you go, one thing is for sure and that is the fact that it is never pleasant to deal with. Those individuals that are dealing with hemorrhoids bleeding will feel a lot of discomfort, especially when trying to pass the stool.

Individuals from all walks of life are known for getting hemorrhoids, both the young and the old. However, the middle-aged and older adults have a tendency to be more prone to bleeding hemorrhoids simply because as your body ages, the hide in the anus starts to get tender.

Remember, you may think you have bleeding hemorrhoids, but it could turn out to be something totally different. This is why we tell you to go to a professional so that they can determine if you really have hemorrhoids. Once you have gone through a series of tests and they have found you have bleeding hemorrhoids, your doctor will start treatment right away.

One of the other illnesses that could cause bleeding is a tear in the anus. If you have any type of bleeding, then you should contact a medical professional in order to get evaluated. Generally, bleeding hemorrhoids can be defined as having blood in the stool or on the toilet paper that is bright red. When the blood is darker in color, then this could be because of bleeding higher up in the anal canal, which is more dangerous.

If you have been suffering from bleeding hemorrhoids, then you should make sure your stools are soft. When you have soft stool, it will be able to past through the canal faster. Also, the stool will not be putting as much pressure on the hemorrhoids. If you are looking to make your stools softer, then we highly suggest you drinking more water.

Some of the other medical procedures consist of rubber band ligation, laser coagulation or schlerotherapy. The doctors will try to hold off on the surgery and wait for the hemorrhoids to go away on their own. However, out of all of the treatments, we believe one of the easiest is the rubberband ligation.

You should take note that surgery can be painful, which is why the doctor chooses this as their last option. When you go through surgery, you will be feeling some pain and discomfort for awhile and you will need to take the time to heal. Also, doctors will tell you that there are some dangers involved in surgery. In the end, as long as you go to a doctor, he or she will help to get rid of your bleeding hemorrhoids and you can go on living a hemorrhoid free life. - 14130
