Treatments for Anti Aging Are More Than Superficial

By Steve Esquire

Not too hard to guess the trend that everyone wants to look young. This has started what is now becoming known as anti-aging. Anti aging treatments are as old as time itself. Women have known how to keep their skin nice and soft and have applied various topical treatments. These treatments have been revved up with the application of science. We have seen an avalanche of skin creams and other miracle wrinkle removers. Most of the products have really targeted the superficial layers of our skin. However, the problem tends to run a little bit deeper. The muscles are also involved and need treatment of their own. Now massage chairs are employing advanced capabilities to help reduce whole body aging.

Aging occurs at many levels within the body. Some are biological and some are environmental. Science is furiously studying the biological causes and at some point may have some breakthroughs. Environmentally aging is influenced by the levels of stress and your commitment to exercise. Stress puts the body on high alert. The body is ready for action with the muscles tense and the major organs prepared to support the body. Exercise or more appropriately the lack of exercise makes the body less able to withstand the forces of nature put upon us. Both of these factors start to show the wear and tear on the body via the skin.

It is impossible to live life without stress. The question is how do we minimize it and quickly reverse the effects of it on the body? We come under pressure from all angles. As we are put under stress, our body reacts. Stress mobilizes your major organs and activates your muscles for action. Your body is ready to take physical action. Trouble is that most of the stress we have is mental. I am late to a meeting and I need to get in the car and drive their quickly. My body is racing, but I am sitting down in the car. Meanwhile, the stress is causing chemical reactions in the body. The body builds up waste products as well, such as toxins. But we do not give the body a physical release of these items.

If we are out running errands and are running behind what happens? We start to get nervous or stressed. We have all these things to get done and we aren't quite getting there. This builds up stress in our bodies, but we are not releasing them through any physical action. Chemicals and toxins build up in the body. They need to be released. How can we do that? One proven effective method is massage therapy. Not only does massage therapy such as shiatsu or Swedish massage help to release toxins, but it also helps us to relax. Both of these massage techniques are available in the best massage chair brands.

What about the whole body anti aging thing. Let us take a look at reflexology massage. This therapy helps to reverse the process of stress. I guess we should call is anti stress. Reflexology works by stimulating trigger points in the feet to help calm and relax the major organs. Reflexology charts have been developed showing parts of the feet and their corresponding organ that they connect with. By massaging these points, the feet send signals to calm the organs. Remember, when you were under stress, the organs send signals to the feet and hands to be ready. While the massage chair stimulates your trigger points in your feet, it is also performing a full body massage. Now your body and mind begin to relax.

When we look at the factors of the aging process, understand that they are constant. They just do not stop. Stress is not something that can be turned off. It comes when it comes. Therefore, a real anti aging treatment must be continuous to counteract these factors. Obtaining massage therapy on a regular basis is the type of treatment that helps offset these things. Many of the best massage chairs have very effective massage therapy treatments. These are some of your best tools to slow down the aging process before it hits the skin. Get your anti-aging arsenal working well before it starts to show on the surface.
