Energy Healing: Three Proven Techniques

By Quincy Lessinger

Have you ever heard of energy healing? Many have heard this term, and each person will have their own views and description based on their experience.

Modern languages do not contain many words to help explain or express the subtle nature of energy healing. In fact many of the words we commonly hear are not English words, but are words derived from eastern cultures.

The word chakra, for example, comes from the Sanskrit language, an ancient eastern culture. Chakra means wheel. The energy in a chakra turns, much like a wheel, and can be perceived as spinning by a clairvoyant. Another word is clairvoyant, which means clear seeing or clear vision.

Energy medicine is nothing new in the eastern cultures. Chinese medicine and acupuncture has treated the energy meridian system for thousands of years. The subtle electrical impulses generated by the the acupuncture points have been confirmed by our western technologies, showing that this unseen connectivity really does exist.

Reiki is another type of energy healing. These days there are many who learn and practice Reiki healing, and those numbers include the medical community. Some doctors and nurses use Reiki energy healing as a complimentary treatment prior to surgery or medical procedures.

Prayer is also a form of energy healing, using thought and intent to aid in the healing process. Many studies have been conducted on healing with prayer and without, and those studies have shown that the recovery time is shorter for those who received thought-filled prayer.

There is no great mystery to energy healing. Whether we are talking about the electrical impulses stored in the cells of the body, our memories, or our thoughts, it's all energy. Healing is really nothing more than returning to a state of wholeness. While the debates do go on about whether energy healing is real, many state that energy healing really does work. - 14130
