Symptoms, Signs, And Stimulus Of Anxiety Attacks

By Lois Arvin Walker

An anxiousness attack is a brief period of overwhelming fear that comes on with no warning and for no sane reason. An anxiety episode can be a one off event, but most frequently is a continuing problem. Those that experience regular nervous attacks ( 2 or more fear attacks a month ) should go to a doctor. It's completely likely that those that experience that many nervous attacks have an anxiety or panic disorder. An anxiety attack is also frequently called a panic attack.

Regular stress attacks can stop the individual that experiences them from living an ordinary, ecstatic life. Anyone of any adult age, from both genders, and of all races and economic backgrounds can have a stress attack.

Doctors and carers do not know for sure what brings on an anxiety episode. But studies have shown that there are some medical problems and medicines that may cause an anxiety attack. Anxiety attack triggers include withdrawing from alcohol or illegal drugs, a fear of having another panic episode, or heredity reasons.

An foreboding attack can bring on feelings of loneliness and a feeling of being out-of-touch with other people. There are more emotional and physical symptoms related to a panic attack, but the main symptom is extraordinary fear. Some of the physical symptoms that will appear with a panic episode can feel just like the indicators of a heavy health problem, like a heart attack.

The physical and emotional signs and indications of a panic episode rarely last longer than thirty mins. The most intense symptoms of a panic attack customarily peak inside 10 mins. there were a few rare cases where signs of an anxiety attack have lasted for hours.

Even though the emotional and physical signs and symptoms of a panic episode might last only minutes, the mental symptoms can last much longer.

Those who experience fear attacks never know when an anxiety attack will hit them. A person could have a panic attack once per week. Or someone may have a series of anxiety attacks followed by months and months of no nervous attacks.

This uncertainty joined with the particular physical and emotional symptoms of a panic attack makes life extraordinarily challenging for people that have nervous attacks. Some people become so fearful of a panic episode coming at an inappropriate moment that they're scared to leave their houses. This fear is often called agoraphobia.

The literal definition of agoraphobia is a fear of open spaces. This definition is commonly tricking and confusing, especially when used in reference to nervous attacks. Folk experience uneasiness attacks in all eventualities and statistically very few experience fear attacks in open spaces.

Agoraphobia often begins when an individual experiences an anxiety episode in a particular situation. Even after a diagnosis is made and treatment starts, the person frequently convinces him or herself the situation that caused an out-of-the-blue anxiety attack will cause many future anxiety attacks. So, naturally, the person avoids that situation.

Anxiety attack causing agoraphobia is two times more common in ladies than men. Well-known Yankee celebs who have admitted to experiencing agoraphobia related panic fits include Kim Basinger and Barbara Streisand.
