Holiday Stress can be an Opportunity for Growth

By Estee Taschereau

The holidays can be a challenge for even the strongest mind. We think about this time of year as the days we gather with friends and family, spread good-will, and feel the love and appreciation of others.

What makes this time of year so much more challenging? When we feel loved we feel safe. We long for that opportunity to let go and breath. Yet most of us carry memories and concepts that cause us to feel less than safe, and less than lovable. The holidays draw us into a place where our usual guard is down, and we feel exposed. Suddenly we are challenged by our own thinking.

I know what you are thinking right now: this topic is a little bit depressing, and far too close to home. Alright, then we can suppress it one more year, but there are other options. Isn't life supposed to be an enriching experience? It is so easy for us to get caught within the story line, and forget who we are. We are spirit. We are more than the moment. The moment is supposed to fill us and provide us opportunity to grow. We just forget who we are, and place more value in the moment than in ourselves.

Consider this time to be an opportunity for your personal growth. By this I mean seeing yourself a little more clearly, and redefining your values. You are spirit, and that means your source of love comes from being, not what you do. The time has come to take off that life lesson overcoat and let go of those things that you no longer want to define you. It's time to step out of the story and see it in a different light.

When you are feeling that tension and anxious feeling then you likely have a contradiction between the inner and outer worlds. This is where a spiritual reading session comes into play.Happiness comes when we have a consistent flow between our two worlds.

The spiritual seer has a role to stand in the middle, that place where Source resides, and guide you gently back into the realization of self. We seek to be loved, and often forgets that this begins within.

Preparing for the holidays can be as simple as learning more about your self, and letting go of those things that no longer matter. We do not need to be in that state of stress. This is your opportunity to step closer to that state of love and appreciation that you deserve. - 14130
