6 Naturally Organic Things Your Nana Used That Came From Nature

By Jemma Rivera

Years ago, when there weren't all of these chemical products on the market, people had to use what they had when a problem occurred. And even years later, when there were chemical products available they didn't need to use them because they already knew of natural products that worked for them. So why should they change now to something 'unsafe'? Natural products always worked. There is no need for them to spend extra money.

Simply, in years gone by, people used to products and food they had around the house to cure pimples, bad breath, sores, ingrown hairs, and more. Even today, most grandmas believe that chemicals and anything else that's "newfangled" on the market isn't necessary, just like they think technology is overblown, too. And, using natural products to cure disorders and for beauty treatments is better than slathering on a bunch of chemicals.

Many products can be used for reasons other than the obvious. For example, almonds, rosemary, geranium, teach real, avocado, sunflower, vanilla, lemon, anise, mint, cocoa butter, sweet orange, jaffa and mixed berries are all things your grandmother may have around and that you have, too -- and that you can put to use.

For example, if you've got digestive problems, drink a little lemon juice every morning to get your digestion working. Add a little bit to a glass of cold water to quench your thirst. It's much better for you to do this than to drink something that has lots of sugar, preservatives, coloring, and so on. You can also use lemon for flu and cold. In the event you feel a cold coming on, mix a little warm lemon juice with some honey and take a tablespoon three times a day.

Your grandmother probably also likes tea tree oil, and perhaps you remember her putting on some tea tree oil if you hurt yourself. It's also great for cuts, acne, ingrown hairs, rashes, smelly feet, abrasions, and a lot more. In your own home, keep a bottle of tea tree oil on hand. You'll be surprised at how often it comes in handy. In fact, you'll probably wonder how you ever lived without it after a short while.

Got a smelly house? Don't spend a lot of money on air fresheners that are laden with chemicals. Instead, put some fresh rosemary into a vase or basket in each room of your home. This gives off a clean, fresh smell that is unique and doesn't smell like those flowery air fresheners. Instead, it smells natural and incredibly unique.

Got bad breath? A lot of people suffer from this, even if they brush their teeth several times a day. Sometimes, bad breath comes from stomach problems or thyroid problems, so that the bad breath can't be helped. However, chewing a few mint leaves should help with your bad breath if you have it, so that you won't suffer any further problems. Parsley is another remedy for bad breath that you can simply carry with you in the event you need help with bad breath.

If you use natural products, they'll be more effective and you'll also feel better using them than you will chemical counterparts. In addition, most natural products don't have the side effects chemical ones do, so you'll have no problems and will find them beneficial. - 14130
