It is also more dense in trace minerals and electrolytes than any other salt. Because of this nothing can live in the Dead Sea - it is 33.7% salt - almost 9 times that of the ocean. It is not safe to drink it - even a little. It is wonderfully healing when you soak in it though! You will find is deeply relaxing and relieving. Epsom Salt Epsom salt comes from salt water that has had the sodium chloride removed. This leaves a high concentration of magnesium, which is soothing to the muscles - a natural relaxant. For this reason it is used for sore throats, wounds, and cold sores. Its antibacterial properties along with that of salt help heal cuts and sores. The red clay salt is also great for muscle injuries.

Icelandic Brine Salt Icelandic Brine Salt is taken from a steaming hot (plus 300 degrees subterranean pool. This pool is a mile below the surface of Iceland. It has 60% less sodium chloride than regular salts, and is rich in silica. Silica is essential for bone, joints, hair and nails. It also has a healthy composition of trace minerals. Icelandic Brine Salt dissolves easily in water and due to the low sodium chloride and to the silica present, it makes the skin super smooth and silky. It is great for dry, itchy or flakey skin.
