8 Great Things About Tea Tree Oil, Nature's Natural Antiseptic

By Jemma Rivera

Many people have heard about Tea Tree Oil as it has been around for many years. Years ago, the Australian aboriginal people used it for the treatment of wounds and cuts when the oil was not yet oil but rather in the form of crushed leaves. They would just apply these leaves to the injury and use a mud pack to hold it in place. So as you see, even then they found good uses for the product and today it is used for even more reasons. It is the best natural antiseptic there is out there. Try it and you will see. Some of its most common uses include:

Tea Tree Oil is great for foot rashes with an itch, athlete's foot, tinea, etc. It will take away the itch and see to the rash, making sure that it doesn't spread anywhere else.

It is also a useful ingredient in soap. The natural antiseptic and cleansing properties of this oil provide gentle and effective cleansing and disinfection for clean hands.

It works wonders for acne. Many think this is impossible because it is "oil" but it actually draws the oil from your skin. A combination of oil and dirt is what causes pimples in the first place, so by getting to the root of the problem you will be able to control it quicker.

It is even used to draw out in-grown hairs (also known as razor bumps). These can be painful so it is best to get them out before they become too sore. The Tea Tree Oil will draw the hair out after you have applied it daily for some time.

For caring for new piercings, tea tree oil works even better than surgical spirits. Its antiseptic properties prevent infection and keep the piercing clean. It also helps to speed up the healing process and unlike surgical spirits, doesn't burn.

Since tea tree oil is naturally antiseptic, it's a valuable addition to any first aid kit. The oil can kill bacteria and other pathogenic microorganisms on broken skin and help to clear up many common skin rashes which are caused by bacterial and fungal infections.

You don't only have to use Tea Tree Oil when you have acne or pimples on your face. You can use it as a daily face wash as it uses its natural abilities to draw out impurities and dirt from your skin.

Tea Tree Oil can also be used for oral candidiasis; rinse your mouth with a tablespoon of it four times a day for best results.

Tea Tree Oil works wonders for many different things, from your feet to your mouth. Whatever you need to use it for it doesn't matter, as it will more than likely work. It is a light yellow oil that is produced by the leaves being steamed to force out the oil and it is then bottled for your benefits. It is not an expensive product, it is natural so causes no side effects, and it is just great to have around the house. - 14130
