Mind Power And The Law Of Attraction

By John H Wood

Back in the 1980's there was a commercial, a slogan really, 'The mind is a terrible thing to waste.' While the commercial dealt with teens and drug use, the message can still be applied today. We can expand on the sentiment though; the power of the mind is a terrible thing to waste. It is time for you to harness the power of mind and use it to create what you want in life.

Touching on this is the power of The Secret. Millions have bought the book, more than that have watched the movie, and by now, the Internet is flooded with people trying to get you to believe in the Law of Attraction, which is that principle laid bare. Whatever you think about in your attitudes will manifest itself in your life, and that includes what happens when you aren't paying attention to your attitude, too. It works whether you want it to or not.

Proof of this can be seen in scientific studies everywhere, in the medical world it is known as the Placebo Effect. There is an old adage that even evokes the sentiments, 'Mind over matter.' That means that if you don't mind it doesn't matter, and if you do mind then it will matter. Undoubtedly you have seen people 'think' themselves sick, and you have seen them 'think' themselves well. The power of the mind is incredible.

For example, how many times has your alarm gone off, or you had something happen that put you in a foul mood, and you've said 'Oh, great. It's going to be one of those days', only to drag yourself into one bad experience after another, with each one compounding the ill will of the former? This is because the Law of Attraction and your own negative attitude are pulling bad experiences to you.

Quantum mechanics talks about the 'observer effect' and how information in the system alters the outcomes. While the link between quantum mechanics and The Secret is tenuous, the same guiding principle applies to the Law of Attraction. Your ability to observe the universe alters it.

Some of the more fringe scientific studies are trying to link this observer effect to thinks like remote viewing, telepathy, and other 'supernatural' powers. An even greater extension is that everything we see, feel and hear; all of our sensory inputs, may well be something 'stitched together' into a narrative by our minds. On the extreme end, this leads to solipsism, the belief that nothing is real until you observe it, and the question of 'If a tree falls in the woods, and nobody's around, does it make any sound?'

The Law of Attraction works whether you want it to or not. So focus on using it to change your life for the better. That means thinking carefully about your attitudes, planning ahead, and otherwise living a life of contemplation and consequence. We're going to take a closer look at what that entails.

First you need to have a clear goal in mind. Make it a very clear goal, very precise. Don't just make the goal having a lot of money, give that money an amount. Once you have that in mind you need to direct every mental action towards achieving the goal. Most importantly that direction needs to be constant, not occasional. This is difficult when you consider the fact that in any given amount of time you have 30 different thoughts racing through your head.

There are people though who understand the power of their mind. They work each and every moment very steadily towards what it is they want to achieve. They direct every action and every thought in that direction. This means that the full power of the mind is focused on the goal. With the mind being the ruling power, and these people making sure that all of their other forces are directed at goal attainment, the goal becomes a reality. It may be difficult to get a grasp on what I am saying. Not because it is difficult, but because it seems so easy.

Your ability to shape your life, by actively taking part in the influence your mind has on your perceptions of reality is nearly unlimited. It's limited primarily by what you can imagine yourself doing. At times, this can border on obsession; imagine wanting a new home. Every day you start out with a list of tasks that will bring you closer to your dream of home ownership. You plan it, you think about color schemes and landscaping. Eventually, this will boost your performance at work; it'll encourage you to save, or to cut back your credit card debt.

And eventually, if you follow through, you will get everything you want. You'll have a base of knowledge that you can use to further your career, and a foundation in how to learn independently to make your future endeavors more efficient. On top of that, you'll have ample evidence that a positive attitude and setting goals can get you anywhere in life. All of your energy focused through the Law of Attraction can be quite potent.

It's up to you to make your life. You can either sit passively by and let life happen to you, or you can grab it and direct it using the power of your mind. Work on small goals and build up to larger ones the same way small rocks can lead to a sturdy platform to see the world from. Don't let anyone or anything stand in the way of the power of your mind with the Law of Attraction. - 14130
