Information For Those That Are Wondering About Self Hypnosis

By Gabriella Cadence

To be sure, the phrase itself sounds somewhat suspect and mysterious. Anything covert is likely to raise a picture of intrigue in our minds. In most hypnosis techniques, the person being hypnotized will reject any kind of suggestion with which they do not agree. That is not the case here. So basically, with this type of hypnosis, you can make a person do, think, and say things that person would not normally do, think, or say.

Hypnosis has indeed unlocked many secrets behind the mystery that is the human mind and there are indeed several stages one must be aware of. This is the stage which is most often used to treat patients with behaviors that need to be corrected like smoking and addiction. The subject, during this stage, can accept suggestions relayed by the hypnotist, but the subject has the freedom to accept it or not. Now many psychologists and hypnotists are suggesting that anxiety and stress too and can be battled and gotten rid off by the means of a simple self hypnosis session.

Hypnosis has indeed unlocked many secrets behind the mystery that is the human mind. Point being that the hypnotist only serves as a guide or an instrument that causes the subject to produce the hypnotic state, since the state of mind of the person being hypnotized rests solely on the person himself, which makes it possible for him to be hypnotized. The belief that stage hypnosis is a supernatural, unusual or a strange state is not true since man is unconsciously subjected to a similar state everyday of our lives.

Hypnosis has been used to treat various problems. The second stage is called medium or hallucinatory state where just like the first, the hypnotist will tell the patient to remember past events and then forget about it. This means that the person has fallen into a deep spell and he or she will do anything that is instructed by the hypnotist. There are three levels here and the first two will make the patient do things that they won't even remember when they wake up. You have to remember that hypnosis does not work with everyone which is why it is important to assess the person's receptiveness to this type of treatment.

We have all experienced that at one time or another. Self confidence is a lot like faith. If you have tried this approach and failed then self hypnosis may well be the answer. With most forms of auto-suggestions this can be extremely difficult as the conscious mind constantly interferes and refers back to previous subconscious programming. - 14130
