Do You Know What Organic Skin Care Really Is?

By Peter Albertonach

You read a lot about organic skin care. But do you know what it is?

What are they? How do you find the best organic skin care products? What is the safest organic moisturizer?

Every day women worldwide search words like these in their favorite search engine, and there is a growing interest in organic skin care.

But whilst many people are interested in finding out about organic skin care products most dont know what they are exactly. And theres no easy way to tell you what they are, because there is no formal definition of the term.

What does organic mean? Search the dictionary and youll find something like this:

characteristic of, pertaining to, or derived from living organisms.

So the ingredients came from something living.

Ok, that helps a little, but still doesnt tell us what organic skin care products really are.

Perhaps organic skin care products have ingredients that come from farms that are "certified organic"? But what if the ingredients come from farms in other countries? What does "certified organic" mean in other countries?

And what if an ingredient came from a source that wasn't a farm? There are some excellent skin care products using a special Japanese seaweed. Seaweed comes from the sea, which isn't certified organic.

But then the sea has to be clean doesnt it? No, theres all sorts of toxins and contaminants in the sea, depending on where you source the product.

So you might be seeing the problem here. If you're searching for an "organic moisturizer" for example, you really don't know what it is.

Confusing isnt it? The same applies to natural skin care products.

So lets think laterally. What is someone who is searching for "organic skin care products' really looking for?

Sadly many big name skin care products and cosmetics and more contain ingredients that are dangerous, like lead and mercury. And as well as dangerous to your health, they may be damaging to your skin.

And this can even apply to skin care products labeled organic or natural.

It's true. And that's why so many women worldwide are now looking for more natural or organic skin care lines and cosmetics. But even this doesn't guarantee safety.

So if we know that women looking for these types of products are looking to find safe and effective products we can then use this information to our advantage.

Instead of finding organic skin care products how do we find products that are safe to use and effective?

Firstly start with the Cosmetics Safety Database. There you can search any ingredient in skin care products to see if it is considered risky to health.

And the Campaign For Safe Cosmetics has a compact that any company can sign evidencing its commitment to using only known safe ingredients in its products. The big brand skin care and cosmetics companies are notable by the fact that they have not signed.

If the company that makes your cosmetics or skin care products hasn't signed don't buy.

So thats a good way to find out if the products that you are considering buying should be safe to use. Search any or all of the ingredients in the products, and search to see if the company has signed the compact. I tell you on my website where to do these searches.

But how do you know if the products work well? Thats another matter entirely. Perfectly safe products may not work well.

I believe that the best way to see if products work is to try them yourself. But if you do that you may waste some money on products that don't work.

But one small company that makes excellent skin care products offers you a 90 day guarantee so you can try risk free.

And it's not a coincidence that they make the best products, if their products didn't work they couldn't offer a guarantee or they'd go broke giving money back.

Now you have a method, with 2 simple steps, to finding skincare products that work well, and are safe to use.

And if you want to know more about finding the websites where you can do these searches visit my website, where you can also find out what natural skin care products come with a 90 day money back guarantee. - 14130
