Chakra Cleansing -The Ultimate Workout!

By Jane Wickham

Every part of us is interdependent: our bodies, minds and spirits are all an important part of our overall health. Our chakras are part of our bodies, even though we cannot see them and they are just as subject to physical, environmental and spiritual influences as the rest of us. Chakra cleansing can help you to stay in optimal health by keeping our chakras properly balanced and maintaining the efficient flow of energy.

Our mind, spirit and body all work together in harmony, so chakra cleansing is important to your health, just like regular exercise and eating right.

What follows is a list of some of the chakra cleansing techniques which have been shown to be effective and have been used for many centuries.

*Smudging: This is burning herbs and plants to clear away negative energies which can block your chakras. White sage is an especially potent herb for this. Burn some white sage in a room with the doors and windows closed for a few minutes, letting the smoke fill the room.

*Auric brushing: Brushing your chakras with gems and crystals can cleanse your chakras; however, you should leave this to a professional. Improper auric brushing can do more harm than good.

*Diet: Eat a healthy, well balanced diet and get plenty of water and pure fruit and vegetable juices. Get adequate sleep every day as when your body is in good shape, your chakras will also benefit.

*Regular exercise and proper breathing helps to keep your chakras working properly.

*Make time to experience the natural world. Spending time outdoors can do wonders for your chakras. Even if you live in a large city, spend some time with the plants and wildlife in a larger park or even your own backyard.

*Color therapy: Each chakra is connected to a different color. Visualizing or looking at the colors which correspond to your different chakras can help start the process of chakra cleansing.

*As Albert Ayler once said, 'Music is the healing force of the universe'. Music can help in chakra cleansing, activate your chakras and stimulate the endocrine system to function better.

*Mental Exercise: By keeping your mind active and endeavoring to learn new things, your chakras will stay more active and free of blockages.

*Make a little time every day to meditate and reflect on your day. This gives you perspective and is a very effective method of chakra cleansing.

*Love yourself: Unless you are able to love yourself, you will not be able to accept love or love others. Love produces potent effects on your mind and spirit which affect your chakra health positively.

*Stay in tune with your emotions: You need to be able to accept and understand your emotions and when necessary, communicate your feelings to other people. When you repress your emotions, you allow negative energies to build up and cause chakra blockages.

*Creativity: You need to make creativity a part of your life. Letting your creativity out will make you a happier person and allow for proper chakric function.

*Accepting the possibilities of past lives and learning from them. This can give you an increased self awareness which will help you to more effectively practice chakra cleansing.

*Live as you wish others would live and be the change you want to see in the world: be honest, respectful and trustworthy.

*Prayer: Like meditation, prayer can quiet your mind and the more quiet you become, the more you can hear; this can open your mind and keep your chakras in balance.

All of these chakra cleansing techniques can work for you and should be practiced regularly. It may not happen overnight, but when you keep up using these chakra cleansing methods, you'll start to see the benefits and have a higher quality of life. - 14130
