For more than 4% of all Americans and many more all over the world, hemorrhoid pain is a common problem. What is Hemorrhoids?

When a person has inflammation in their veins in or around their anal area, it is usually a hemorrhoid, and this condition can actually cause you extreme pain, whether you have the internal type or you have the external type.

The cause of Hemorrhoid pain

For many people, hemorrhoid pain is caused by swelling in your veins. When those veins get swollen they will put too much pressure on the tissues that hold them. When this happens a "sac" will develop causing hemorrhoids.

Types of Hemorrhoid: Internal and External

Some people will experience one of the two different types of hemorrhoids which are internal and external. The internal type occurs inside your anal canal and is usually not nearly as painful as external hemorrhoids; however it is just as uncomfortable. The sign that you are experiencing internal hemorrhoids is bleeding. The most hemorrhoid pain you will feel is Thrombosed hemorrhoids. The external type of hemorrhoid is itchy and bleeds a lot.
