Control Anxiety Attacks - 3 Tips to Help You Control Panic Attacks

We all tend to experience some form of anxiety or stress in our lives. However, there are some people who finding controlling these feelings becomes a lot more difficult. For those who regularly suffer from these there are things that they can do which can help to control anxiety attacks or even prevent them happening.

In this article we offer a few tips on how to stop anxiety attacks before they take control of one's life completely.

Tip 1 - Control Your Breathing - If you can learn how to control your breathing when an attack takes place you will find that it helps to prevent your mind from focusing too much on it. When feeling anxious or stressed you need to make sure that you breathe very slowly and deeply as this will help your body to relax. Not only is this a simple way of helping you to prevent an anxiety attack it is also one of the most effective.

Tip 2 - Avoid Stimulants In Your Diet - So you need to start reducing how much caffeine and sugar you eat daily if you want to help prevent these types of attacks taking place. When an attack takes place your arousal and alertness levels become heightened and if you consume large amounts of caffeine this will stimulate this aspects of the attack even more.

Tip 3 - Get Exercising - What many people do not realize who suffer from anxiety attacks is that through regular exercising they can help to prevent them. When you become anxious the levels of energy and adrenaline in your body increase, but through exercising you can help to get these back to a normal level and so prevent your attacks from becoming any worse. Also just as with the techniques used to control your breathing through exercise you will be able to focus your mind on something other than the anxiety attack that is taking place. - 14130
